Qualification description
The purpose of this qualification is to prepare a learner to function as a Learning and Development Professional. In particular, a Learning and Development Professional plans, designs, and develops learning programmes. Furthermore, they lead and manage learning processes while guiding best practice across diverse learning and development environments. In addition, they ensure quality assurance and inclusive learning in compliance with established principles. As a result, all activities align with Education, Training and Development Practices (ETDP) legal, regulatory, policy frameworks, as well as relevant standards and guidelines.
Moreover, a qualified Learning and Development Professional demonstrates a range of graduate attributes. These include, but are not limited to, deep discipline knowledge and intellectual breadth. In addition, they demonstrate analytical and critical thinking, strong problem-solving abilities, professionalism, effective teamwork, and well-developed communication skills. Consequently, they are equipped to operate effectively in complex learning environments.
Furthermore, those who complete this qualification will be able to perform several key functions. Firstly, they will establish and promote stakeholder networking and collaboration within vocational or occupational learning and development institutions. In addition, they will manage the implementation of workplace-based learning programmes and bursaries. At the same time, they will design and develop learning materials for various learning and development interventions.
