The SAQA Qualification Occupational Certificate School Manager – Level 6 – 101258 qualification is a qualification that empowers the learner to operate as a school manager. A School Manager leads, plans, develops and manages developed systems for effective and efficient delivery of quality education by ensuring the implementation and support of a values-driven ethos for quality teaching and learning.

A qualified learner will be able to:

What are the Entry Requirements?

  • Prepare purchase requisitions detailing all identified specifications for the procurement of goods and services for a period of at least one month under the supervision of a mentor or district official

  • Perform routine inspections, requisitioning and maintenance of school assets and infrastructure including equipment for a period of at least two weeks

  • Perform human resources management and development functions in the school for a period of two weeks under the supervision of a mentor or district official

  • Develop a framework for stakeholder engagement in support of the school for a period of one week
